Fairy lights. We posted about fairy lights last year, but think they’re worth another look. We still think they are the simplest and cheapest way to lift any room to something a little bit special.

These photos show some fairy lights and tea lights used inside and out. In summer they can make the garden, or any outdoor space you have, a little bit magical. I have some wonderful memories of spaces lit by fairy lights on summer’s nights. A restaurant courtyard in Turin, a pub near the river at Richmond, our wedding garden – all imprinted on my memory by lovely fairy lights.

The fairy lights above are made from egg boxes. Who’d have thought? And below, these super cute little tea lights are set in small jelly moulds. See how to make them at Wit and Whistle¬†here.

What do you think? Do you love fairy lights too? Or are they a bit fanciful for your style?

Happy Wednesday!
