Detached House, Adel

We were invited to work with this very busy family in late 2016. The house was Victorian in origin, but with later additions, including a large sitting room which had been given a ‘cottage’ look. Our Clients wanted a home that was a reflection of them; contemporary and warm. It needed to be simple, functional and hardwearing for family life but also inviting and cosseting.

We changed the doors through-out, and replaced the ‘cottage’ chimney with a more streamlined version, with an inset stove. Then added new flooring and sofas to the sitting room; fitted and free-standing cabinetry to the study, including a solid oak bespoke desk; more fitted storage in the snug; and completely updated the master bedroom including bespoke cabinetry, Roman blinds and super king bed. This was a lovely, patient and happy family to work with and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
